UNITED STATES - According to a latest report from Kryptowire, a US based provider of mobile app cybersecurity solutions, several smartphones with Chinese-made UNISOC chipsets are highly vulnerable to some serious security and privacy issues. It is said that, if vulnerability within the chipset are exploited, it will allow hackers to take full control over user's data on device and functionality of the smartphone. These actions can include activities such as, accessing your calls, system logs, text messages, private data, recording of screen or using the phone's cameras to record videos or take pictures, and even draw full control of the device remotely and wiping of all data.
Alex Lisle, Chief Technical Officer at Kryptowire said,
"In an increasingly competitive mobile device market, it’s imperative that device manufacturers establish and maintain trust among carriers and end users.
