Indian Government urges everyone to update their iPhones and other Apple products

 


INDIA - The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, an office working under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, have issued a new warning to all Apple users in the country, due to high severity multiple vulnerabilities found in Apple products which can be exploited by a hacker who can bypass all the sensitive information on your devices. This is applicable to all users of Apple iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, MacBooks, Apple TV and some of the Apple apps. So in order to avoid this exploitation, you are advised to get your devices updated to the latest software version that brings more advanced security overhaul and other features.

Kryptowire claims several smartphones with UNISOC chips are vulnerable to critical security concerns

UNITED STATES - According to a latest report from Kryptowire, a US based provider of mobile app cybersecurity solutions, several smartphones with Chinese-made UNISOC chipsets are highly vulnerable to some serious security and privacy issues. It is said that, if vulnerability within the chipset are exploited, it will allow hackers to take full control over user's data on device and functionality of the smartphone. These actions can include activities such as, accessing your calls, system logs, text messages, private data, recording of screen or using the phone's cameras to record videos or take pictures, and even draw full control of the device remotely and wiping of all data.

Alex Lisle, Chief Technical Officer at Kryptowire said,
